The Tsai Performance Center at Boston University
The Tsai Performance Center at Boston University exemplifies a true multi-purpose arts center. This venue caters to over 600 performances during the school calendar year, with a wide variety of programming that includes musical performances, dance, theatrical performances, film, comedy, lecture, cultural events, and television broadcasts. Artists in residence include the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, the Muir Quartet, and the New England Conservatory Wind Ensemble. Variable room acoustics are essential to enabling this venue to produce such a wide range of programming successfully. In addition to motorized acoustic drapes that are deployed for film and lecture presentations, the LARES acoustic enhancement system creates optimum acoustic conditions for music programming that includes symphonic music, opera, chamber groups, and choral ensembles.
